Young Azerbaijani weightlifter takes European podium with three medals

Azerbaijani weightlifter Mahammad Rustamli has secured two silver medals and a bronze at the European Championships for athletes under 15 and youth in Pristina, Kosovo.

Competing in the 55-kilogram category, the Azerbaijani national team member lifted 91 kilograms in the snatch to claim the bronze medal in the discipline, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

Rustamli delivered a stronger performance in the clean and jerk, successfully lifting 110 kilograms to take silver.

His combined total of 201 kilograms across the two disciplines earned him second place overall and a second silver medal.

Azerbaijan Weightlifting Federation Vice President Firdovsi Umudov also attended the medal ceremony.
