Nearly 2,000 volunteers support F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku PHOTO
Around 2,000 volunteers are contributing to the organization of the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku, Oxu.Az reports.
Volunteers are engaged across a wide range of areas, including media and accreditation, protocol, spectator services, security, and other key functions.
The group consists of university students, young professionals, and representatives from various fields.
According to organisers, more than 31,000 applications were submitted for the volunteer program, but only 2,000 candidates were selected.
For the record, earlier, American driver Jack Crawford of Dams Lucas Oil claimed victory in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix Formula 2 race.
Joshua Dürksen of AIX Racing finished in second place, while Dino Beganovich of Hitex TGR secured third.
The main Formula 1 race is scheduled to begin at 15:00 local time (GMT+4).
