Azerbaijani minister meets Turkish Gendarmerie Air Force chief to bolster strategic alliance
On June 25, 2024, Emergencies Minister Col-Gen Kamaladdin Heydarov met with a delegation headed by Lt-Gen Ali Dogan, Commander of the Turkish Air Force of the Gendarmerie, who is in Azerbaijan.
Welcoming the guests, Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov recalled with satisfaction that, due to the wise foresight, mutual trust, and political will of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Türkiye, relations between the two brotherly countries have risen to the level of a strategic alliance. He noted that, in this context, ties between the relevant structures in the field of emergency management are constantly expanding, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Emergencies Ministry.
Detailing the directives of the Emergencies Ministry's activities, Minister Heydarov talked about the measures taken by the Ministry's Aviation Detachment to eliminate the consequences of large-scale emergencies both at home and abroad. He expressed confidence that the current visit would provide additional impetus further to deepen the existing close ties between the structures.
Expressing gratitude for the sincere meeting, Lt-Gen Ali Dogan, Commander of the Air Force of the Gendarmerie of the Republic of Türkiye, expressed satisfaction with his stay in Azerbaijan. He emphasized the importance of further expanding ties between the relevant structures of the two countries to combat emergencies effectively.
At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interest. During the visit, the delegation headed by Ali Dogan will visit the Aviation Detachment of the Emergencies Ministry and familiarize themselves with the activity of the structure.
