Azerbaijani MPs head to New York for key UN conferences

Members of the Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis (parliament), Soltan Mammadov and Sevil Mikayılova, are set to visit New York, USA, for significant international parliamentary events.

The visit aims to see the MPs participate in the organizational committee meetings for the 6th world conference of speakers of parliament and the 15th Summit of Women Speakers of Parliament, as well as parliamentary hearings at the United Nations, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

During their visit, the MPs will also attend parliamentary hearings at the UN Headquarters on the theme "Expanding Action for Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals: Finance, Institutions, and Policy," organized under the initiative of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the President of the UN General Assembly.
