Azerbaijani Navy’s marine units showcase expertise in successful drills
Marine units of the Azerbaijani Navy have recently conducted a series of comprehensive exercises, showcasing their readiness and expertise.
The drills included a variety of challenging tasks, such as encircling a simulated enemy, navigating ambushes in harsh weather conditions and on difficult terrain, administering first aid, and carrying out the evacuation of wounded personnel, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az.
The ministry emphasised that all the objectives set for the exercise were completed successfully, reflecting the high level of professionalism demonstrated by the marine units.
The Azerbaijani Navy plays a crucial role in safeguarding Azerbaijan’s territorial waters in the Caspian Sea. With a focus on maritime defence, the Navy operates various vessels, including patrol boats, missile boats, and auxiliary ships. It is also equipped with advanced radar and missile systems to ensure national security and protect vital maritime routes.
Over the years, the Azerbaijani Navy has undergone significant modernization, enhancing its operational readiness through joint exercises, training, and technological advancements. The Navy also collaborates with regional and global naval forces to strengthen maritime security and defence capabilities.
