MEDIA survey: 87.7% trust Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev continues to receive broad public backing for his political leadership and strategic policies, according to a survey conducted during the first half of 2026, with 87.7% of respondents expressing trust in the president.

The poll by Media Development Agency (MEDIA) revealed that 93.6% gave a positive assessment of his performance, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

The findings reflect public attitudes toward the performance of President Ilham Aliyev and broader trends in public opinion.

The poll also indicated strong electoral support.

Asked how they would vote if a presidential election were held next Sunday, 91.5% of respondents said they would cast their ballots for President Ilham Aliyev.

In addition, 81.9% of those surveyed described President Aliyev as an irreplaceable political leader.

The survey was carried out through face-to-face interviews between May 20 and May 30 among 1,210 respondents aged 18 and older.
