Azerbaijani servicemen completing Bayraktar Akinci operative course receive certificates from Türkiye
Azerbaijani servicemen trained in Türkiye to fly the Bayraktar Akinci UAV have been presented with certificates.
The certification ceremony was held at the Corlu Flight Training Centre in the country’s Tekirdag province to mark the next graduation of the "Bayraktar Akinci combat drone control course" organised by the defence company Baykar, according to Report.
The event, along with company officials, public representatives and course instructors, was attended by Baykar Makina Defence Industry Company Technical Director Selcuk Bayraktar, Azerbaijani Consul General in Istanbul Narmina Mustafayeva and Azerbaijani Armed Forces Military Attaché to Türkiye, Colonel Mushfig Mammadov.
Bayraktar spoke about Baykar's recent activity in technology and innovation and drew attention to the crucial role of in-house-produced combat drones on the battlefield.
Consul General Narmina Mustafayeva spoke about the role of the Bayraktar TB-2 UAV in the Second Karabakh War. It was noted that the drone has gained recognition around the world and is already of interest to leading countries at a global level. She congratulated the Azerbaijani servicemen who had successfully completed the Bayraktar Akinci operation course and wished them success in their future service in the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
At the end of the event, certificates were awarded to graduates from Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan who had successfully completed the course.
