Azerbaijani soldier lost in Lachin reunites with his family
Azerbaijani serviceman Ruslan Panahov, who got lost in unfavorable weather conditions in Lachin, arrived in his native Shamkir region.
He was reunited with his family on the evening of March 21, APA reports.
The Azerbaijani serviceman, who got lost in Lachin in unfavorable weather conditions, was transported from Armenia to Baku on March 5.
According to the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan, on the morning of February 28, a soldier of the Azerbaijani army Panahov Ruslan Eldeniz oglu, moving between service positions in the Lachin region, lost his direction in unfavorable weather conditions and got lost.
The Armenian side issued a statement in which it announced the detention of an Azerbaijani soldier who crossed the conditional border.
In Armenia, a criminal case was opened against a serviceman of the Azerbaijani army on trumped-up charges.
On March 4, the Investigative Committee of Armenia stopped the criminal prosecution of the Azerbaijani serviceman Ruslan Panahov. In accordance with the agreement reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan, at the same time, as a gesture of goodwill, a decision was made to transfer Ruslan Panahov to Azerbaijan.
