Azerbaijani students studying in Türkiye can visit homeland via land border, says MFA

Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Spokesman Aykhan Hajizada has said that only those Azerbaijani citizens, who study in Türkiye are allowed to enter the country through the land border.

Hajizada noted that the decision is related to distance learning in the second semester in Türkiye, APA reports.

"In accordance with the decision on the second semester of distance learning, citizens of Azerbaijan who are currently studying in this country at sub-bachelor, bachelor, master, doctoral and residency levels, as well as their first-line family members (father/mother, husband/wife, children) may enter the Republic of Azerbaijan through land borders until May 10, 2023 without the necessary permission. This decision does not apply to students studying in other countries,” the spokesman said.
