Azerbaijani and British military personnel have participated in a joint cybersecurity training exercise under a bilateral military cooperation plan for 2026–2027 signed between the defence ministries of Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom.
The drill, known as Defence Cyber Marvel 2026, is organised by the UK Army Cyber Association and is being held partly in Baku, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Defence Ministry of Azerbaijan.
The exercise brings together teams from defence institutions, government agencies, industry partners and other participating nations.
According to organisers, the training simulates real-world scenarios in which participants are tasked with detecting and countering cyberattacks targeting allied forces and critical infrastructure.
Cybersecurity specialists from both countries carried out operations aimed at neutralising potential threats, addressing system vulnerabilities and aligning information technology tools with international security standards.
The programme also included cyber investigation and cyber intelligence activities, as well as broader measures to strengthen information security.
Defence Cyber Marvel is an annual exercise designed to enhance cyber defence capabilities and develop the professional skills of armed forces personnel in the face of evolving digital threats.
