Azerkosmos, Italy's Leaf Space sign cooperation accord
Azerkosmos and the Italian provider of ground control services Leaf Space have signed a long-term commercial agreement.
Under the agreement, the ground station installed in the Main Centre of the Azerkosmos Ground Satellite Control will allow Leaf Space to receive information from various satellites passing over Azerbaijan, Report informs.
A modern 3.7-metre antenna system with the S/X range installed at the ground station will provide a wide range of solutions for processing, transmitting critical information coming from various satellites, telemetry and monitoring between satellite networks, as well as for monitoring vehicles in space.
"The antenna installed in Azerbaijan to expand our global network of ground stations will increase the coverage of our services, and we are pleased to partner with Azərkosmos," Leaf Space CEO and co-founder Jonata Puglia said.
"Cooperation between Azerkosmos and Leaf Space is an important step for the sustainable development of our joint space-related activities. This, in turn, testifies to the successful strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Italy," Azerkosmos Deputy Head Fuad Aslanov said.
