12 March 2026 18:55
Iraq has decided to continue producing crude oil at a level of 1.4 million barrels per day (bpd), Hayan Abdel-Ghani, the country’s Oil Minister, announced.
“The current production level remains at 1.4 million barrels per day,” Abdel-Ghani said, noting that 200,000 bpd are being transported via reservoirs through Türkiye, Syria, and Jordan, France 24 reports.
He added that Iraq has implemented a plan to manage the situation, particularly in light of recent developments in the Strait of Hormuz.
