Bahrain arrests individuals spreading fake content on Iran attacks PHOTO
Bahrain's Ministry of Interior has said that since the beginning of Iranian attacks on the country’s facilities, the Cybercrime Directorate has identified and arrested several individuals involved in publishing materials that threaten public safety and societal stability.
According to the Bahrain News Agency, the arrested individuals were spreading videos and content expressing sympathy for the attacks, as well as fabricated images created using artificial intelligence, depicting false damage to homes.
These actions misled the public and contributed to spreading fear among citizens, which constitutes a violation of public safety.
The arrested individuals have been handed over to the prosecution, and the Ministry urged the public to obtain information only from official sources and refrain from sharing unverified content, in order to avoid legal liability and ensure the country’s safety.
