Bahrain intercepts 95 Iranian missiles, 164 drones since Mideast war outbreak
Since the start of the hostilities in the Middle East on February 28, 95 Iranian ballistic missiles and 164 drones targeting Bahraini territory have been destroyed.
Over the past 24 hours, Bahrain intercepted nine Iranian missiles and 16 drones, the Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported, citing the country’s General Command of the Defence Forces.
The command highlighted the high combat readiness of its forces and stressed that the kingdom’s airspace remains protected.
Residents were advised to stay indoors, go outside only when necessary, avoid areas where debris may fall, and refrain from spreading unverified information.
The Bahraini Defence Forces also stated that attacks on civilian sites using ballistic missiles and drones constitute a violation of international humanitarian law and pose a threat to regional security.
