Bahrain receives international support following Iran attacks
On March 4, 2026, Bahrain’s Foreign Minister, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, held a series of telephone conversations with foreign counterparts who expressed solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain following recent Iranian missile strikes.
According to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the ministers condemned the attacks and conveyed their wishes for Bahrain’s continued security, stability and peace.
Among those who contacted Al Zayani were Elmedin Konaković of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Kęstutis Budrys of Lithuania; Margus Tsahkna of Estonia; Ervin Ibrahimović, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Montenegro; Marko Đurić of Serbia; and El-Taher El-Baour of Libya.
During the calls, Al Zayani thanked his counterparts for their condemnation of the Iranian missile strikes, which he said had targeted facilities including civilian buildings and private property.
He underscored the importance of international solidarity and support for the measures Bahrain is taking to safeguard its security and stability.
The Bahraini minister also conveyed his wishes for peace and stability to the ministers’ respective countries.
