Bahrain says air defences intercept Iranian aerial attacks; debris injures child

Nabeel Alhamer, media adviser to the King of Bahrain, said on X that, Bahrain’s air defence systems have intercepted and destroyed Iranian aerial attacks over the Kingdom.

The Interior Ministry later confirmed that an 11-year-old girl sustained minor injuries in Bahrain after being struck by debris from intercepted Iranian drones, according to Iranian media.

She was treated at the scene.

The ministry added that falling debris ignited several vehicles and damaged homes in Hamad Town and the capital, Manama, with civil defence and emergency services responding to contain the damage and secure affected areas.
