Bahraini Prosecutor General leads delegation on official visit to Azerbaijan
A delegation led by Ali Bin Fadel Al-Buainain, Prosecutor General of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has arrived in Azerbaijan for a working visit.
Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev welcomed his Bahraini counterpart at the Prosecutor General's Office, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office told Caliber.Az.
During their meeting, Aliyev highlighted the implementation of the "Electronic Prosecutor's Office" information system, established by a decree on May 7, 2021.
Al-Buainain congratulated Azerbaijan on the successful organization of the 29th Annual Conference and General Meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors, expressing confidence that upcoming events will also be conducted successfully by the General Prosecutor's Office.
Following the meeting, Al-Buainain toured the historical museum and call centre of the Prosecutor General's Office.
The recent conference in Baku, attended by approximately 500 participants from 95 countries, marked the first and only global gathering of prosecutors. It featured bilateral and multilateral meetings among prosecution and justice agencies from various nations, alongside plenary and special sessions.
Key topics discussed included "The Role of the Prosecutor in Ensuring the Rule of Law in the Digital Age," "Ensuring Transparency, Accountability, and Data Protection in the Context of Digital Evidence and AI," and the importance of international cooperation in combating cybercrime. Additionally, workshops were held on environmental crimes, cybercrime, and counter-terrorism.
