Baku Court of Appeal rejects Vardanyan's claim
The appeal against the court's decision to extend the preventive measure for Ruben Vardanyan, former so-called "state minister" of the illegal structure in Karabakh, has been considered.
According to the decision, which was read out at the trial in the Baku Court of Appeal, the complaint of Ruben Vardanyan is not satisfied, Caliber.Az reports.
Some time ago the petition of the Main Investigation Department of the State Security Service was considered in Sabail District Court, in connection with which the term of arrest was extended for another 5 months.
Ruben Vardanyan was detained in Karabakh last year and brought to Baku. He is charged under Articles 214-1 (financing of terrorism), 279.3 (participation in the creation and activity of armed formations or groups not provided for by law) and 318.1 (illegal crossing of the state border of the Republic of Azerbaijan).
