Baku hosts international judicial conference within 67th IAJ General Assembly
An international conference titled “Relations Between the Judiciary and the Other Two Branches of Government,” dedicated to the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty,” is being held in Baku as part of the 67th General Assembly of the International Association of Judges (IAJ).
The event is organised within the framework of cooperation between the International Association of Judges and the Association of Judges of Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports per local media
The conference is attended by Chairman of the Association of Judges of Azerbaijan Ramiz Rzayev, Chairman of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan Inam Karimov, Judge of the European Court of Human Rights Latif Huseynov, and other officials.
The International Association of Judges — of which the Union of Judges of Azerbaijan has been a member since 2009 — continues to spearhead key initiatives promoting human rights and reinforcing judicial independence across the globe. The upcoming General Assembly will also serve as a pivotal moment for the organisation, featuring elections to its governing bodies and the appointment of a new chairperson.
