Baku hosts post-war South Caucasus development discussions
Baku has hosted a round table discussion and hearings on the topic "Development of the South Caucasus in the Post-Conflict Period" have e held at Azerbaijan's State Committee for Work with Diaspora and ADA University.
The event was attended by representatives of state bodies, 22 foreign experts representing various think tanks, universities and media outlets from the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Brazil, France, Israel, Italy, Türkiye, Georgia and Greece, according to Report.
The discussions were moderated by the Vice-Rector of the university Fariz Ismayilzade.
The Azerbaijani presidential aide, head of the Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration, Hikmat Hajiyev, informed the round table participants in detail about the leading role of Azerbaijan in the South Caucasus, its participation in large-scale projects, the demining of territories liberated by Azerbaijani army under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and ongoing restoration and construction work on these territories, the return of internally displaced persons to their native lands.
During the hearings, it was noted that foreign experts played an important role in the development of the South Caucasus region, the restoration work carried out in Karabakh, as well as in bringing Azerbaijani realities to the world.
