Baku kicks off second edition of climate action week
The second edition of Baku Climate Action Week (BCAW) has officially begun in the Azerbaijani capital, bringing together international stakeholders for a week of high-level discussions and collaboration on global climate action.
The event, which runs from September 29 to October 3, will feature high-level policy dialogues on energy, finance, climate adaptation, small and medium-sized enterprise development, and a just energy transition, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Roundtables will also bring together industry leaders, green technology entrepreneurs, and climate governance experts and sessions on new approaches to climate governance.
Organisers say the main objective of BCAW 2025 is to accelerate global climate action and strengthen collaboration between governments, businesses, and the scientific community.
The first forum was held in 2024 ahead of Azerbaijan's preparations to host the COP29 climate conference.
