Baku Metro can inaugurate new station in 2024
Active construction of a new metro station with the conditional name B4 "Purple Line" continues in Azerbaijan's capital Baku, which is located on Jalil Mammadguluzade Street behind the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex (near the Clinical Medical Center and the Medical University, near Tbilisi Avenue and the Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan).
It will become the fifth station of the Purple Line and should serve as a convenient means of transport for both students of the Medical University and, in general, for everyone who lives and works in the district.
Bakhtiyar Mammadov, head of the press service of the Baku Metro, told Caliber.Az that the B-4 station could open in 2024.
“The exact date depends on the speed of work in the next year. At the moment, the construction of two levels of a four-level station has been completed. By the end of 2023, the construction of the remaining two floors will also be completed," he said.
"Also in 2023, the main work will be carried out to create the appropriate infrastructure and equip the station with the necessary equipment."
