Baku to host prestigious Automechanika exhibition for first time

Azerbaijan is set to host the world-renowned Automechanika international exhibition of spare parts, auto components, equipment, and products for vehicle maintenance for the first time in 2027.

The exhibition is expected to make a substantial contribution to the development of Azerbaijan’s automotive sector, which has been expanding rapidly in recent years, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

The event will be held at the Baku Expo Centre on March 3-5, 2027 and will be organised by the international exhibition company Tajsir Expo in partnership with Germany’s Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH, with official support from the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation. The exhibition is also backed by the Azerbaijan Exhibition Organisers Association.

Automechanika Baku is regarded as a milestone for Azerbaijan’s automotive industry. The country currently has around 1.74 million registered vehicles, a figure that continues to grow annually. This growth is being driven by state investments in transport and logistics infrastructure, including the expansion of road networks, parking facilities, and transport corridors.

Between January and August 2025, car imports to Azerbaijan rose 26.4% compared to the same period in 2024, reflecting a surge in demand and the ongoing expansion of the country’s automotive ecosystem.

The exhibition is expected to further strengthen Azerbaijan’s position as a strategic automotive hub in the Caucasus region, providing an interactive platform for international manufacturers, distributors, and local industry professionals to present innovative solutions across automotive parts, components, accessories, electronics, diagnostics, repair, tyres, batteries, and car care products.
