Baku welcomes space tech experts from 35 countries for major conference PHOTO
The Space Technology Conference (STC2025) has officially launched in Baku, bringing together experts and leaders in the field of space technology.
Organised by the Azerbaijan Space Agency (Azercosmos), this two-day event is drawing attention from across the globe, Caliber.Az reports via domestic media.
The conference will dive into the latest developments and challenges in space technology, covering crucial topics like "Earth Remote Sensing for Sustainable Regional Development," "The Role of Satellite Communications in Central Eurasia," "Innovations and Investments in the Space Industry," "Small Satellites," "Coordinating International Space Activities for Sustainable Growth," and "Leveraging Satellite Technologies to Tackle Regional Challenges."
With over 400 participants representing 112 organisations from 35 countries, the event is a melting pot of international expertise, bringing together professionals from the Middle East, Europe, Asia, North and South America, and Africa.
In a related event, just a day before the conference, the heads of space agencies from Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, as well as observer states of the Turkic States Organisation — Hungary and Turkmenistan — gathered for their own strategic meeting.
