Beirut under watch: Reconnaissance drone patrols city skies since morning VIDEO

A Hermes 450 unmanned aerial vehicle has been observed flying over central-west Beirut since morning, according to LebanonJets, a Lebanese aviation tracking outlet.

The drone has been airborne since 10:00 local time at an altitude of approximately 6,600 feet (2,011 meters).

By 11:00, the UAV was still orbiting over central Beirut neighbourhoods.

Sources note that the drone may be armed, although this has not been officially confirmed.
