Belarus announces date for Lukashenko's seventh presidential inauguration
The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus has announced that the inauguration of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, who has been elected for a seventh term, is scheduled for March 25.
According to the Constitution of Belarus, the president must take the oath of office in a formal ceremony attended by key figures, including members of the Presidium of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, deputies from the House of Representatives, members of the Council of the Republic, as well as judges from both the Constitutional and Supreme Courts, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
The oath must be taken no later than two months following the election of the president.
After the head of state takes the oath of office, the Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus will present the presidential certificate.
The seventh presidential election in Belarus took place on January 26, 2025, with Alexander Lukashenko emerging victorious.
