Belarus, Kyrgyzstan agree to boost security cooperation
Belarus and Kyrgyzstan have agreed to deepen cooperation between their law enforcement agencies, with a focus on strengthening security coordination and professional training.
According to BelTA, citing the Interior Ministry of Belarus, Interior Minister Ivan Kubrakov held talks with his Kyrgyz counterpart Ulan Niyazbekov to discuss key areas of bilateral engagement.
The discussions placed particular emphasis on personnel development, including cadet training and the professional advancement of officers through specialised educational institutions and operational units in both countries.
Kubrakov reaffirmed Belarus’ readiness to share advanced investigative techniques and practical experience in crime detection with Kyrgyz law enforcement bodies.
The ministers also addressed cooperation in tackling cybercrime, illicit drug trafficking, terrorism and extremism, identifying these areas as priorities for joint action.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides outlined further steps aimed at expanding inter-agency collaboration and enhancing operational coordination.
