Belarus, Kyrgyzstan discuss SCO cooperation, economic ties
Belarus and Kyrgyzstan have held talks on strengthening cooperation within the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and deepening bilateral economic relations.
The discussion took place during a phone call initiated by the Kyrgyz side between Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov and Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev, Caliber.Az reports via Belarusian media.
The ministers focused on developing Belarus–Kyrgyzstan cooperation, highlighting mutual interest in further strengthening political engagement, expanding trade and economic ties, and supporting practical progress on the bilateral agenda.
Special attention was given to collaboration in multilateral formats, including the SCO. Both officials underlined the importance of coordinated efforts to enhance regional stability, improve the effectiveness of cooperation mechanisms, and advance constructive initiatives serving the interests of all member states.
Kulubayev also outlined the key priorities of Kyrgyzstan’s chairmanship of the SCO Council of Heads of State for 2025–2026.
