Belarus launches new high-speed train route with Russia, Azerbaijan

First Deputy Head of the "Belarusian Railway" State Association Pyotr Dulub has announced the launch of a new high-speed train project on route Belarus-Russia-Azerbaijan route.

He underlined the priority of the activity of the Belarusian Railways on alternative transport and logistics chains for the delivery of foreign goods, Report informs.

The volume of shipments to Asian countries, as well as to the countries outside of the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) region, is increasing, Dulub noted.

He added that the Belarusian Railways is actively working with Russia, including using its port facilities.
