Belarus leader to pay working visit to China, meet with President Xi Jinping
President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, will pay a working visit to China from June 2 to 4.
In Beijing, he is scheduled to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Caliber.Az reports, citing the press service of the Belarusian president.
The talks between the two heads of state will first take place in a one-on-one format. Afterwards, Alexander Lukashenko and Xi Jinping will discuss the state and prospects of bilateral relations in an informal setting. The discussions will focus on the implementation of joint projects and the advancement of initiatives.
Additionally, international cooperation issues will also be high on the agenda. During the visit, Mr. Lukashenko is scheduled to hold other meetings and negotiations as well.
On May 23, Chinese Foreign Ministry representative Yao Shaojun stated that Belarus and China have established a strong partnership, but there remains potential for further development. He noted that Alexander Lukashenko and Xi Jinping maintain regular dialogue.
