25 March 2026 09:56
During an official visit to Pyongyang, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko is set to sign a treaty on friendship and cooperation with North Korea, Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov told reporters.
“Our greatest interest in North Korea is strengthening truly friendly, partnership-based relations. These are our friends, and they are waiting for us, just as we await them in Belarus. It is time to develop relations more actively. There is a whole range of areas of mutual interest to both Belarus and North Korea, all reflected in the friendship treaty that our leaders will sign. Based on this treaty, we will further develop contacts between relevant ministries and agencies,” Ryzhenkov said, according to BELTA.
