Belarus offers assistance to Uzbekistan for nuclear power plant construction

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has offered Belarus’ expertise to Uzbekistan in the construction of a nuclear power plant, saying Minsk is ready to support the project if requested.

Lukashenko said that Uzbekistan had expressed interest in Belarusian specialists with experience in nuclear energy projects. He noted that Belarus had developed its expertise with support from Russia and was prepared to share that knowledge, Caliber.Az reports via Belarusian media.

Uzbekistan has been exploring nuclear energy options as part of its long-term strategy to diversify energy sources and meet growing electricity demand.
