Belarus president claims no nuclear use unless borders breached
15 August 2024 19:39
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has stated that he does not plan to use tactical nuclear weapons stationed in Belarus unless there is an invasion of the Union State's territory.
Lukashenko made these remarks as he was interviewed by the Russian television channel Rossiya, Caliber.Az reports via Belarus media.
"When tactical nuclear weapons arrived here, I told our foreign adversaries directly—despite their claims that I might use them—that we do not intend to use any weapons unless you cross our state border. After all, this is the border of our Union State," the Belarus leader emphasized.
