Belarus sees surge in foreign visitors under visa-free regime
Since January 1, Belarus has welcomed 29,080 foreign visitors from 38 European countries, the country’s State Border Committee told BelTa.
Since the introduction of the visa-free regime, a total of 1,287,249 European residents have visited the country, highlighting the growing popularity of Belarus as a destination for European travelers.
By country, arrivals include 413,153 from Latvia, 672,859 from Lithuania, and 138,845 from Poland. Following the launch of the expanded visa-free program for 35 European countries on July 19, 2024, an additional 62,392 people have entered Belarus.
The visa-free entry policy for citizens of 38 European countries will remain in effect through December 31, 2026, providing continued opportunities for travel and tourism in Belarus.
