Belarus to restrict entry to Polish trucks, tractor-trailers

The Belarusian government has decided to restrict entry to cargo trucks and tractor-trailers registered in Poland.

A relevant decree was signed by Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko, his press service reported on February 17, according to TASS.

"The traffic of cargo trucks and tractor-trailers registered in the Republic of Poland will now be carried out for cargo operations or for re-hooking only via the Belarusian-Polish segment of the state border of the Republic of Belarus," its statement said.

The cabinet of ministers explained that the decree was enacted due to Poland suspending the operation of the Bobrowniki border checkpoint (adjacent to Berestovitsa on the Belarusian side) beginning on February 10.
