Belarusian Foreign Ministry summoned Chargé d'Affaires of Poland
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus summoned a charge d'affaires of Poland in connection with the closure of the border checkpoint, according to the website of the ministry.
According to the ministry, the diplomat was informed about the Belarusian side's response to the decision of the Polish government to close traffic at the Bobrowniki checkpoint.
“The Polish diplomat was informed in a civilized way about the response measures of the Belarusian side to the inhumane unilateral decision of the Government of M. Morawiecki to close the traffic at the Bobrowniki checkpoint from the Polish side. In this regard, we have changed the mode of movement of Polish freight carriers. From now on, they will be able to enter the territory of the Republic of Belarus and leave it through any cargo checkpoint, but only on the Belarusian-Polish section of the border. All responsibility for the deterioration of the conditions for the activities of their carriers lies with the initiator of restrictive measures, that is, the current Government of Poland,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
