Belarusian president: Americans have stirred entire Muslim world
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has warned the United States to be prepared for hostility from the Muslim world, saying they have "stirred" the entire Muslim world.
In an interview with RT, he claimed that actions against Iran’s leadership would backfire on the United States, Caliber.Az reports.
“You showed your face. You killed — so what next? Others came to replace those killed, more radical ones,” Lukashenko said.
He also noted that Trump’s reliance on “personal instincts” in politics could lead to misjudgments, saying leaders of major powers must listen to others and draw proper conclusions.
The Belarusian leader stated that friendship was only possible with those who were willing to be friends.
Lukashenko described his relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as warm and almost familial.
“However hard they try to destroy us and remove us from this life, we are still living,” he added.
Commenting on statements attributed to US President Donald Trump, Lukashenko expressed doubt that the White House leader would manage to dismantle NATO, saying: “Other people will come who will save NATO.”
He also accused the West of misleading Belarus over many years, calling it “Western lies.”
“We need to seriously think about state governance, perhaps even carry out reforms, using older experience,” he emphasised.
