Belarusian president calls for continued friendship between Minsk, Budapest

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated Péter Magyar, leader of Hungary’s Tisza Party, on winning the parliamentary elections, calling for continued friendship.

The Belarusian leader expressed hope that Hungary’s strong voice on the international stage will continue to be guided by pragmatism, a focus on maintaining global security, and respect for all peoples, Caliber.Az reports, citing Belarusian media.

He said he was convinced that the traditions of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation that have developed over many years between Minsk and Budapest must continue.

Alexander Lukashenko also wished Péter Magyar good health and success.
