Lukashenko says Cuba can count on Belarus’ support
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated former Cuban President Raúl Castro on his 95th birthday, saying his country is ready to support Cuba.
Lukashenko noted that Raúl Castro was an example of extraordinary resilience, loyalty to ideals and inexhaustible life energy, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
“Your rich experience as a statesman and your personal contribution to the development of an independent and unshakable Republic of Cuba are difficult to overestimate,” he added.
He further stressed that Belarus and Cuba have long been connected by warm, open and truly fraternal relations, stressing that Raúl Castro had also made a personal contribution to this relationship.
The Belarusian president expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation would maintain strong momentum across all areas of mutual interest.
“I want to confirm that Cuba can always count on the support of the Republic of Belarus,” Lukashenko emphasised.
He also wished Raúl Castro good health, strength of spirit and continued success.
