Belarusian president: US only country constantly engaged in military operations
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said the United States is the only country in the world that is continuously engaged in military operations, while stressing that Belarus has no intention of following a similar path.
Speaking at a ceremony honouring graduates of higher military educational institutions and senior officers, Lukashenko said that although armies gain experience through warfare, such an approach is not appropriate for Belarus, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
“There is only one country in the world that is constantly at war—the United States. We don’t need that; it doesn’t suit us. So let’s make use of the experience we have. This applies first and foremost to you—the officers and generals,” Lukashenko said.
The president urged military officers to focus on applying existing experience to strengthen the country's armed forces rather than relying on combat operations to improve military effectiveness.
