Bessent: Trump refuses to sleep

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said during the Republican Party’s first national convention ahead of the congressional midterm elections that President Donald Trump refuses to sleep.

“In 15 short months we’ve gone from autopen to overdrive, from a president who couldn’t stay awake to one who refuses to sleep,” Newsweek magazine quoted Bessent as saying.

The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this year that Trump frequently contacts his aides at 2 a.m. or later. Trump himself told the newspaper that he has never slept much.
