Bild: German government jet makes emergency landing in Seychelles
A German Air Force Bombardier Global 5000 government aircraft has been stranded in the Seychelles for several days after making an emergency landing due to a technical malfunction, Bild reports.
The outlet said the aircraft was conducting a German Air Force training flight since August 11, from Luxor, Egypt, to the French island of Réunion in the Indian Ocean.
During the flight, the crew was scheduled to practice complex landing procedures and operations in tropical conditions.
However, technical problems unexpectedly developed en route, forcing the aircraft to make an emergency landing in the Seychelles.
The crew members are safe and were not injured. They are waiting for the aircraft to be repaired. No politicians are believed to have been on board.
