Bishkek, Tashkent deepen security ties with military intelligence pact

Kyrgyzstan’s Cabinet of Ministers has approved an agreement with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Defence on cooperation in military intelligence.

The decision was adopted as part of the domestic procedures required for the agreement to enter into force.

Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been instructed to notify the Uzbek side that the country has completed the necessary procedures.

The government resolution does not disclose the specific areas of cooperation, mechanisms for exchanging information, or obligations undertaken by the two sides under the agreement.

The agreement will enter into force 10 days after the relevant procedures are completed.
