Blasts trigger major fire at industrial facility in Kyiv region PHOTO
A fire has erupted at an industrial infrastructure facility in the Boryspil district of Ukraine’s Kyiv region following a series of explosions overnight, according to the State Emergency Service (SES) of Ukraine.
In a statement on its Telegram channel, the agency said firefighting operations were ongoing and confirmed that one worker had been injured in the incident. The individual received medical assistance.
The SES did not disclose the exact nature or name of the facility where the blaze occurred, noting only that it involved industrial infrastructure in the area.
The fire broke out in the early hours of June 4 after reported explosions. Authorities have not yet provided further details on the cause of the blasts.
Separately, the emergency service also reported a fire at a critical infrastructure site in Ukraine’s Odesa region later in the day.
