Bloomberg: US and Iran trapped in cycle of war neither side can win

The US and Iran are locked in a protracted war that neither side is capable of winning, Bloomberg reports.

According to the outlet, neither country has a clear path to ending the conflict. It noted that the current confrontation stems from nearly half a century of hostility between the United States and the Islamic Republic.

The conflict is unfolding in recurring cycles of hostilities, with neither Tehran nor Washington able to secure a decisive advantage. Even negotiations will not be able to resolve the fundamental differences between the two sides in the long term, Bloomberg added.
