Bloomberg: US considers licensed missile production in Europe, Ukraine
US President Donald Trump is planning to encourage American companies to produce missiles under license in Europe and Ukraine, Bloomberg reports, citing sources.
“They would like to be able to do it, we’ll take a look at it,” Trump told reporters on Wednesday, June 17, at a news conference during the Group of Seven summit in Evian, France, when asked about the plans.
According to the publication, the US missile arsenal has been significantly depleted during recent military actions against Iran, and rebuilding stockpiles will take time.
In response, the US administration has informed allies that it is considering approving production licenses outside the United States to accelerate replenishment and strengthen partner supply chains.
