Bloomberg: Wealth of Russia’s richest rises by $18.1 billion since January
The combined wealth of Russia’s wealthiest businessmen has grown by $18.1 billion since the beginning of the year, according to the latest Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
The index, which tracks changes in net worth based on the market value of assets and company shares, shows notable gains among several major Russian business figures.
Alisher Usmanov, a shareholder of Metalloinvest, Russia’s largest iron ore producer, recorded the biggest increase. His fortune rose by $5.32 billion, reaching $18.5 billion. The net worth of Iskander Makhmudov, founder of UMMC, climbed by $4.43 billion to $7.56 billion.
Pavel Durov, co-founder of the messaging platform Telegram, added $2.44 billion to his wealth, bringing his total to $13.4 billion. Tatyana Kim, founder of the online retailer Wildberries and head of RWB, earned $654 million, with her fortune increasing to $8.03 billion.
At the same time, NLMK board chairman Vladimir Lisin saw the steepest losses. His net worth fell by $3.07 billion, now standing at $22.8 billion.
