Boat capsizes in English Channel: four rescued

Four people were rescued by emergency services in the English Channel on the morning of April 9 after a boat capsized, initially found without heartbeat or breathing.

According to BFM, rescue teams were deployed to search for any additional victims.

The incident occurred off the coast of Côte d’Opale. In addition to the four rescued, emergency services found a fifth person unconscious but showing signs of breathing.

A large rescue post was set up on the beach at Saint-Étienne-au-Mont, near Boulogne-sur-Mer. Alongside coastal teams, water-based rescue units and a helicopter were deployed to provide assistance and evacuate the victims.
