Bomb threats at Bishkek schools: students evacuated
Kyrgyz authorities are investigating reports of a planned terrorist attack at several schools in the capital, including schools No. 24, 44, 15, 10, and the private Kings International School, the Bishkek City Police Department said.
According to officials, at 11:08 a.m., the emergency hotline “102” received a call alerting authorities to threatening messages circulating on Telegram, per Caliber.Az.
Investigative units from the district police departments have registered cases for all incidents, and preliminary investigations are underway.
Police said that operational and investigative teams were dispatched to the schools, students and staff were evacuated, and the surrounding areas were cordoned off. K9 units are also assisting with the security response.
Authorities urged the public to remain calm while the situation is being assessed.
