Bomb threats reported at five schools in Lithuania

Police in Vilnius received a report on the morning of 10 September about explosives allegedly planted at five schools in the Lithuanian capital.

The message claimed that explosive devices at the schools were due to detonate at 10:00, Caliber.Az reports, citing Lithuanian media.

Police contacted the school administrations and sent patrol units to the sites.

Law enforcement officials believe the threat is a false alarm and see no need to suspend classes.

However, school administrations were advised to check their premises and call 112 if they discover any suspicious objects.
